  • Pouch Happening | New Upgrades

    DSCN0722

One of our valued customers came in today to grab a few items out of his unit. He’s been with us since 2012 and he seems to always be in a good mood. Today was no exception as I walked with him up to his unit and informed him of the new upgrades here at POUCH Self Storage Trabuco.

Last week we started a new project here at Pouch in Lake Forest. A face lift on all of the upstairs units in one of our buildings.  The grey, dull  partitions are being replaced with brighter and cleaner looking white partitions… Our customer really liked the new look and said he loves that we’re always making things better (and safer, of course) here at Trabuco Self Storage

  • How to Pack and Organize Your Belongings for a Move

Moving is an involved process, even if you have moved many times before. By taking the time to plan your next move, however, you can organize your possessions and make unpacking into your new home or office much easier. If you are wondering how to streamline the moving process to save time and effort, read this article for tips on making your next move more efficient.

    Collect Boxes

Well before your move, ask friends, family, and coworkers to keep an eye out for boxes that they don’t need. Stop by a supermarket, clothing store, or electronics store to see if you can pick up some spare boxes.  Or make it easy on yourself and purchase boxes and packing supplies at any POUCH Self Storage location.

Go Through One Room at a Time

Go through each room and decide whether to toss, donate, or keep each item. If you decide to keep an item, think carefully about whether you need it in your new home or office. If you don’t need an item but you want to keep it, put it in a secure POUCH Self Storage unit.

    Keep a File Box

As you start packing for a move , you will undoubtedly run across important papers that must survive the move. Keep a file box to store these papers. If you don’t need to access these papers regularly, it’s probably safer to put them in protected storage unit.

    Label Meticulously

Every box you pack, whether it’s headed to a storage unit, your new office, or your next home, should be labeled clearly. The contents of each box should be relatively similar, and arranged so the items you are most likely to need first are at the top of the box. Keep a written inventory of what is in each box to facilitate the unpacking process.

  • POUCH Happening | Free Means Free!!

    Free shipping

A tenant came in and rented a unit today. They loved the facility and were impressed by all the security features. It was an easy decision for him to store with us. He was even more fortunate to learn that the afternoon truck move rescheduled. I explained the Free Truck Move Service to him. I mentioned that we provide the truck, driver, dollies, and blankets all for free. He was impressed. He asked if he had to pay for mileage. Nope…all free. “Do I need to put down a deposit for the truck?” , he asked. No sir, everything is free. Then he asked, “How about insurance? Do I need to buy insurance for the truck?” I smiled and replied, “Nope, everything is free!” He grinned and said it’s nice that free still meant free somewhere.

  • Pouch Happening | Need a Jump?

    heppening jump

Some days are gloomier than others. The clouds roll in, sun slinks away from view, moods darken and circumstances seem more heavier than normal. A tenant, normally chipper in demeanor, pulls to the gate, walks in and keys in his code. His disposition was sullen, with not much pep in his path as he goes out to his car to drive into the facility. A moment later, he walks in and says his car will not start. Long Beach employee, Andrew heads out to his truck immediately and pulls it up to the tenant’s car without hesitation. After providing a jump for his car, Andrew could see the tenant was back to his happy, yet appreciative ways. Certainly being there for our tenants, going the extra distance leaves in their mind that we are a company looking out for our customers.

  • Identifying the Right Storage Unit Size

    unit sizes

Once you have made the decision to get a self-storage unit, your next choice is the unit size. You don’t want to overspend on a unit that is too big for your storage needs, but you also don’t want to risk damaging your items by stuffing them into a storage unit that is simply too small. How do you know which unit size is right for you? POUCH Self Storage, we offer some basic guidelines to help you decide which storage unit would work best for you. If you’re trying to store one room’s worth of belongings, a 192 cubic foot (CF) unit may work. For one-and-a-half room’s worth of belongings, maybe you can upgrade to a 256 CF unit, or a 576 CF unit two to three rooms. Although rare, five rooms of your precious items could fit into an 864 CF unit. Keep in mind, these are only general guidelines. To get a better estimate, you can use our online calculator.   http://www.pouchselfstorage.com/storage_unit_calculator

The experienced and friendly specialists at POUCH Self Storage & RV centers can help you choose the right self-storage unit to fit your storage needs. Get answers to your questions by calling (888) 258-9626 or visiting www.pouchselfstorage.com

  • What Is Remote Back-Up?

    2-7-2014 1-04-11 PM

Remote back-up, also known as online back-up or e-vaulting, is similar to backing up your data to another computer in your home or office, but with several important differences. Remote back up occurs over the Internet to a remote server. Remote back-up scheduling can be customized, which means you can choose to remote back-up your data at night when your computer is not in use, or schedule a number of back-ups during the day. You can even back up your data immediately at any time should you choose. Remote back-up is secure, and must go through your computer’s firewall in addition to the firewall that protects the backup servers. If you want to protect your business or home computer from data loss in the event of technical problems, theft, or physical damage, remote back-up is essential.

To attain security and peace of mind with regards to your personal or business data, contact POUCH Records Management and ask about our professional remote back-up service. Call us at (888) 258-9626 or visit our website to learn more about our digital records management services.

  • Pouch Happening | No Move Too Small

A woman came into the facility needing storage immediately. We determined a 5×7 would fit her needs perfectly. She was going to be storing some boxes and clothing. She seemed to be in a hurry. She explained that she does not have much time to get everything into her unit. We offered her the Free Truck service and explained the process. She assumed the truck was so big and her storage space was so small that she didn’t qualify for that service. We smiled and told her the move in service is available to all of our tenants. Fortunately, we had nothing scheduled at the moment and she was just around the corner. Off we went. We returned in only 35 minutes. Now, the rest of the day was hers. Happy customer!
